GAME NOTES:

·       The Silver Stars held the Sun to only seven points in the first quarter which marks a franchise low for both the Silver Stars and the Sun

·       The Silver Stars had 12 points in the paint to the Suns’ four in the first quarter

·       Twelve of the Silver Stars’ 17 points in the first quarter came from Sun turnovers

·       Shanna Crossley scored all of her 16 points in the second quarter alone including four three-point shots made

·       At half time the Silver Stars had a 39-18 advantage over the Sun

·       By halftime the Silver Stars had tallied 22 points off of 15 Sun turnovers

·       Connecticut’s Katie Douglas scored 14 of her 21 points in the third quarter alone

·       The Silver Stars biggest lead came during the third quarter when they were up by 25 points

·       The Sun outscored the Silver Stars 53-35 in the second half alone but never took the lead

Connecticut’s next game: The Suns host their home opener against the Los Angeles Sparks this Saturday, May 26, at 3:30 p.m. EDT at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

San Antonio’s next game: The Silver Stars host the Seattle Storm this Friday, May 25, at 7 p.m. CDT at the AT&T Center.
