McCray, a 5’11” guard, has spent the past seven seasons playing in the WNBA. A three-time WNBA All-Star, McCray spent last season with the Phoenix Mercury. Prior to joining the Mercury, McCray spent two seasons with the Indiana Fever. She helped lead Indiana to its first ever playoff appearance in 2002. Before making the move to Indiana, she spent four seasons with the Washington Mystics. During her four years with the Mystics, McCray averaged in double figure scoring each season and led the team in scoring from 1998-2000. In 2000, she helped guide the Mystics to their first playoff birth while averaging 15.5 points per game. Her best season came as a rookie when she finished the season averaging a career-best 17.7 points per game and a career-best 2.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists. For her career, McCray has started in 197 of her 218 games, averaging 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.01 steals in 27.7 minutes per game.

Prior to playing in the WNBA, McCray played one season in the American Basketball League (ABL) with the Columbus Quest under current Silver Stars assistant coach Brian Agler. In her only season with the Quest, McCray earned ABL Most Valuable Player honors leading Columbus to the ABL Championship while averaging 19.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

A University of Tennessee graduate, McCray compiled a 122-11 during her four years with the Lady Vols. She was named SEC Player of the Year in 1994 and 1995 and helped lead the Lady Vols to four SEC Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances.
