Silver Stars Sign Erin Buescher
Selected as the 2006 WNBA Most Improved Player, Buescher averaged 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in 2006.
The Minnesota Lynx selected Buescher in the second round of the 2001 WNBA Draft, then traded her to Charlotte, which sent her to Sacramento in 2005 for Tangela Smith. Buescher has averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game during her five-year WNBA career. She has appeared in 14 WNBA playoff games, helping Sacramento to the 2005 WNBA Championship.
Named Big West Player of the Year her first three collegiate seasons at the University of California-Santa Barbara, Buescher transferred to The Master's College her senior season where she earned NAIA First Team All-America acclaim. She led The Master's College to a school-best 26-3 record and earned National Christian College Athletic Association Player of the Year honors.
