SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Silver Stars will celebrate faith and family at 7 p.m., Friday, July 17 when they host the Connecticut Sun at the AT&T Center. Grammy-nominated Christian rock band After Edmund will perform live on the Sombrilla, and center Ruth Riley will give her testimony following the game.

An Olympic gold medalist, Riley also led Notre Dame to the 2001 National Championship, earning Most Outstanding Player honors at the Final Four. As a professional athlete, she helped the Detroit Shock to two WNBA championships, picking up MVP honors at the 2003 WNBA Finals. While her career on the court has been impressive, she has become more known for her contributions off the court. An active member of the community and humanitarian, Riley is a spokesperson for Nothing But Nets, which provides bed nets for children in Africa in an effort to prevent Malaria. She frequently spends her off-season traveling to Africa both for Nothing But Nets and for TRIAD Trust, which works to increase HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.

Tickets start at $10. For more information on single-game tickets or for special group offers, visit www.sasilverstars.com or call 210.444.5090.
