Silver Stars Release Sandora Irvin
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Silver Stars have waived forward Sandora Irvin, Head Coach and General Manager Dan Hughes announced today.
“We appreciate all Sandora did for the Silver Stars and wish her best in the future,” said Hughes. Irvin appeared in 21 games for the Silver Stars last season, averaging 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. She spent two seasons in San Antonio after spending the first two seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury. Irvin appeared in 44 career games for the Silver Stars, averaging 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. The defending Western Conference Champion Silver Stars open the 2009 season on the road at Phoenix before coming home to host the New York Liberty Saturday, June 13 with Dads and Daughter’s night in honor of Father’s Day.
