Silver Stars Fall in Overtime to Sky

CHICAGO (AP) - Dominique Canty's jumper with 6 seconds left in overtime lifted the Chicago Sky (9-13) to an 84-82 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars on Sunday night.
Sophia Young scored 25 points and Becky Hammon added 20 for San Antonio (14-7), which had a snapped a six-game winning streak and lost for just the third time in 13 games.
Late in the fourth quarter, Hammon grabbed a loose ball and drove to the basket where she was fouled with 8.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter. She made both free throws to tie the score at 69. Young hand a chance for the win, but missed a jumper with 2 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
In overtime, Canty made 1 of 2 free throws to give Chicago an 82-80 lead with 1:21 remaining in overtime. Hammon then hit two from the line to tie the score 18 seconds later.
After Canty's tiebreaking basket, Hammon missed a jumper with 1 second remaining and Young's tip wouldn't fall.
