May 17, 2007

Check some of the photos from a recent special event. The Silver Stars hosted a barbecue and built a playground for the Jensen Family of Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Their husband and father, Capt. Ralph Jensen, has been deployed to Iraq since October 2006 at Camp Bucca with the 36th Army Medical Support Command (AMSC).

He and his wife Kristen have five children: Bradley (11), Samantha (9), Camden (5), Ian (2) and Josie (1).

In celebration of the WNBA’s 11th season, the league and teams will give back to the communities who have supported them for the past decade with community events throughout the country. Through WNBA Cares, the WNBA is deeply committed to creating programs that improve the quality of life for all people, with a special emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive body image, breast health awareness, youth and family development, and education.
