Hello Tulsa Shock fans! My name is Natasha Lacy. As some of you may have already heard or read, Coach Richardson and I grew up and where raised in El Paso, Tx. I am more than enthused to be here and to be part of this organization. This is actually my second time in Tulsa. My senior year at UTEP we played Tulsa in conference. I am really impressed with the city of Tulsa and the warm reception my team and I have received from everyone. Its always exciting and impressive when the fans are welcoming and ecstatic about the upcoming season. Like some of my teammates have already written, training camp has already been quite an experience and very different from what we have all been accustomed to. Coach Richardson system is up and down and very high tempo. But I think he has and is still preparing us for a very successful season. Our style isn't new for those in Tulsa, but very new for the WNBA. Yesterday we had a pretty good preseason game vs the Storm. We still have alot of work to do before the home opener on the 15th, but I guarantee when the lights are turned on and the ball is in play that we will be ready!! I have been asked many questions about whether "40 mins of Hell" will even work in this league. ...so my answer to all those questions would be to stay tuned and find out....

It is so exciting to still be able to compete in the state of Oklahoma. It's not Norman, but I still feel like I am where I have been for the last four years. Coach Richardson is an amazing coach! He is very passionate about basketball, and it shows through how he teaches us in practice everyday. He definitely loves to make his players play at a faster pace than everyone else, which is great for what this organization is trying to accomplish. I cannot wait for the game opener on May 15th! So I am taking this opportunity to invite all the OU fans to come to our home games and make this ride something good to ALWAYS remember. :)

Hi Shock fans! We are finally traveling out of the state of Texas and my dog is in the back seat knocked out, wishing we were in Tulsa already! Its been a while since I've looked this forward to the starting of training camp. Sunday starts the beginning of something special in Tulsa and I'm just glad I get to be a part of it. Go Shock!

Ps. Do you realize how big Dallas is? I feel like I lost an entire year of my life driving through that city. I thought it would never end!

Hey Shock Fans both New and Old! I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about how excited I am as well as the Tulsa Shock organization is about this upcoming season! As you all know coming from Detroit winning is in our blood. We are in a New City with a New Staff and New Ownership however, we still have the same goal and that is to win a WNBA Championship. As you can see from Coach Richardson's track record he is all about winning and he has proven himself to be one of the best coaches of all time. And what other way to become the best than by learning from the best. Coach Richardson has high expectations from us and we are excited for him to implement his system and help us excel as individual players but most importantly as a TEAM.

It's so exciting to know that training camp and the start of the season is just around the corner. As players begin to trickle in from their various places in the US and overseas you can start feeling the buzz about this upcoming season from not only the players and the fans. The encouragement that I have gotten from the Fans of the WNBA leave no doubt in my mind that this upcoming season will be a very special and monumental one. The excitement I have to be back on the court again competing against the best players in the world is indescribable. Sitting out for an entire season and not being able to go out and compete with my team mates was hard. However, it made me grow as a player and more importantly as a person. I hope you guys are as excited as I am about this season. It's going to be one to remember I guarantee you that. Hope All Is Well. Go Shock!! - Plenette

What a whirlwind 8 months it has been for me since deciding to pursue my dream of playing for a WNBA team and competing against the top female athletes in the world! The transition back to the sport I loved in college has had its challenges but the love for the game and my passion to play it has not diminished. After signing with the Shock a few weeks ago my focus has been on conditioning and shooting. I know that Coach Richardson is going to "run us" and I want to make sure I am prepared!

I visited Tulsa again this past week and had the opportunity to meet and workout with two of my teammates, Alexis Hornbuckle and Plenette Pierson. I am looking forward to several things this season but a few that stand out are 1. Getting an opportunity to play professional basketball with and against the best basketball players in the world, 2. Help the Tulsa Shock win a whole lot of games including a WNBA championship, 3. Get an opportunity to share my own personal story on a much broader scale to young people about the importance of making well thought out and good choices in their lives.

Thank you Tulsa fans for embracing this team and I looking forward to wearing the black and gold this season with PRIDE! Go Shock! - Marion
