WNBA Champion and Gold Medal Winner Honored
Swin Cash Named Recipient of a Super Strong Women Award

To celebrate its 25th anniversary and the Launch of Super StrongTM, Paul Mitchell is proud to announce Swin Cash as a recipient of a SUPER STRONGTM WOMEN AWARD. This award recognizes female athletes whose inner strength and beauty are reflected in their accomplishments and actions. Swin has been selected because of her very qualifying credentials. She led her team as Captain of the Detroit Shock in 2003 to a WNBA Championship. Also, Swin won a gold medal on the U.S. Women’s Basketball Senior National Team in 2004.

Cash has decided to give the money earned for winning her award to the Robert and Kimberly Porcher Cancer Research and Relief Fund. The fund assists patients and their families who struggle with emotional and financial issues due to cancer. Robert and Kimberely Porcher began this relief fund in 2001 in conjunction with the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, and since then has helped hundreds of families. Porcher is a former Detroit Lions football star and active member of the Detroit Community.

Cash appeared in studio on ESPN2’s Cold Pizza on Tuesday, March 22 in New York to talk about her donation to Porcher’s Cancer Research and Relief Fund and the photo spread in Self Magazine, that hit newsstands and bookstores that same day.
