Storm Sweep Shock

The Seattle Storm defeated the Tulsa Shock, 89-66, September 8, 2012 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.

The first quarter was a tight contest with Seattle leading the Shock 20-15 at the end of the quarter.

The Storm opened the second quarter with a 11-0 run from 8:40 until 4:33 to make it 31-18. Going into the half Seattle led Tulsa 43-31.

The Shock went on a 9-3 run from 2:29 to 26.1 seconds left in the third quarter to make up some of the halftime deficit at 65-52.

In fourth quarter the Storm didn’t look back as they went on a 16-2 run from 5:18 to 1:19 left in the game to make it 89-63.

Ivory Latta led the Shock with 14 points. Riquna Williams had 13 and had a career-high six assists. Kayla Pedersen grabbed seven from the boards.

Camille Little led the Storm and earned a career-high 28 points and tied her career-high nine rebounds. Little’s previous high was 27. Sue Bird had eleven while Tanisha Wright led Seattle with seven assists.

The Storm have now won the last ten games against the Shock. The Shock will play the San Antonio Silver Stars on Wednesday September 12th at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.
