Detroit Shock Announce 2009 First Round Playoff Schedule
The Shock schedule for the first round is as follows (all times are Eastern):

The second round of the playoffs is also a best-two-out-of-three format, and runs from September 23-26 with game one of the Conference Finals at the home site of the lower seed on September 23.
The finals is a best-three-out-of-five, 2-2-1 format, with the higher seed hosting the first two games and a possible fifth game, and the lower seed hosting game three and, if necessary, game four. The last possible date for the 2009 WNBA Playoffs is Friday, October 9.
This is the eighth overall appearance for Detroit in the WNBA Playoffs and its seventh in a row since winning the 2003 WNBA Championship.
