2006 WNBA Champion Ruth Riley, along with members of the NBA Family, including NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver, NBA Legend Bob Lanier, Manhattan native Felipe Lopez and WNBA Director of Player Personnel Carla McGhee visited the Dual Language Middle School in New York on Thursday, October 19th. The event was part of the annual Principal For A Day program, which is a collaboration between the New York City Department of Education and the nonprofit Public Education Needs Civil Involvement in Learning (PENCIL).

Riley and the NBA group addressed the entire student body in the morning and led the young adults in a number of community enhancement projects in and around the school.
