Here’s a couple of shots from Game 3 you probably didn’t get on ESPN2 Tuesday night. Always interesting to see what other WNBA teams do and how the crowds react. The Mercury fans were out in force for their team’s first Finals game in a decade. U.S. Airways Arena was buzzing all night long, and I’m sure it will be more of the same for Game 4.


I’m thinking of a number …


The Shock coaching staff didn’t look too worried prior to tip off, as assistants Cheryl Reeve and Rick Mahorn played some one-on-one. She’s a brave one, Cheryl is. I wouldn’t take Rick to the rim. I’ve seen the tapes of No. 44.


Among the concourse vendors indigenous to the Southwest was Peter Piper Pizza, which appeared to be so popular …


… it ran the G’Rilla Dogs out of business.
