Italian League
Shannon Johnson and Umana Venezia trounced Fiera di Roma Pomezia (2-13), 77-27, on January 20 to stay tied atop the Italian League standings with a 13-2 mark. Johnson led a balanced attack leading four players in double figure scoring with 14 points. Johnson is averaging 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists on the year in the Italian league.
Deanna Nolan and UMMC Ekaterinburg (9-2) picked up a 93-67 win over Vologda-Chevakata on January 20 to remain in third place in the Russian Super League. CSKA (Moscow) remained undefeated at 12-0, keeping Nolan and company two and a half games back of the leaders. Next up for UMMC is a January 30 meeting with Slavyanka (Chelyabinski) (1-10).

Cras Basket Taranto (13-2) kept pace with Umana Venezia with a 63-60 win over Carispe La Spezia (7-8). Sacramento’s Rebekkah Brunson scored 30 points in the victory.
Umana Venezia takes on Famila Wuber Schio (12-3), currently in third place, on January 27, while Cras Basket Taranto faces off against Germano Zama Faenza (8-7).

Dynamo-Energiya (Novosibirsk) and Tyresa Smith blew out Dynamo (Moscow), 102-61, on January 19. Smith scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and picked up three steals in the victory. Dynamo-Energiya next plays Slavyanka (Chelyabinski) on February 5.
