Deanna Nolan and her UMMC Ekaterinburg teammates are running away from the rest of Group B in the Qualifying Round of the 2007-08 Euroleague Women after an 86-66 win over Jolly JBS Sibenik improved their record to 8-0 on the season. There are two games remaining in the Qualifying Round, after which, the top 16 teams will be reseeded for the Eighth-Finals Playoffs. Next up for UMMC Ekaterinburg is a January 16 meeting with Bourges Basket (4-4).

The Preliminary Round of 2007-08 Eurocup Women competition ended before the new year with
Shannon Johnson (Emana Venezia) and
Plenette Pierson (BC Moscow) both advancing to the Sixteenth Finals. BC Moscow tips off against Baschet ICIM on Thursday, January 10 with Game 2 scheduled for January 17. Emana Venizia faces off against KV Imperial AEL on January 10, with Game 2 on January 17.
