Chandi Jones: Thanks for all of the support that you've been showing us this far. We hope to see you at our games on Friday vs. Washington and Sunday vs. Los Angeles.
Bay City, Texas: What is your favorite moment with your Dad?
Chandi Jones: My favorite moment with my dad was my senior year in College when we won our Conference Tournament.
Kevin: (Ontario, Canada): : Hi there Chandi. I was wondering, what is your basketball new year resolution going to be this year?
Chandi Jones: My new year's resolution was to come back to Detroit and be able to contribute more to my team better than I did last year. I wanted to improve on my game and help the team in any way that I could.
Gary (Troy): Hi Chandi, I had read some stories last winter that you were playing in Australia then others that you were playing in Europe. How many places did you play in the WNBA offseason? You are playing great! Keep up the good work.
Chandi Jones: I played in two different countries - in Australia and Italy during the WNBA offseason.
Ms. Harper, Houston: Hey Chandi, I know you played overseas. How much different (style, etc.) is it from playing in the WNBA? We miss you in Houston. Good luck in your 2nd year with the Shock. We look forward to seeing you play when you come to Houston. What is your take on playing against former teammate and current Houston Comet, sancho Lyttle?
Chandi Jones: Over here, the pace of the game is a little bit faster than the pace is overseas. As far as the physical play is just as physical as it is in the WNBA. As far as playing Sancho Lyttle, it's going to be different seeing her on the other side of the ball. To me it's just going to be exciting to be able to know that you played with somebody who was able to accomplish the same goal that I did and play in the WNBA. It's going to be fun.
Doug Gilbert: Detroit: Hi there C.J. I hope I can call you that. What does the team need to improve on to get back to that the championship level you guys had two years ago? GO SHOCK?
Chandi Jones: We need to keep focusing on the same goal, which is getting theChampionship back to Detroit. We need to believe in each other, play hard and practice hard. Once we do that the sky is the limit for us.
Samaria (Ferndale): Hey Chandi. Have you ever seen Deanna dunk? Do you think she or Kara will dunk in a game this season?
Chandi Jones: No, I haven't seen Deanna dunk, but I do think she can because she jumps so high. I don't know; maybe we will get to see them dunk this season.
Robert (Bobby) Jones, Indianapolis: Chandi, What is your outlook for your second full season in the WNBA, and do you think you will advance further in the playoffs? Thanks cousin Bobby.
Chandi Jones: I do think that we will advance further in the Playoffs. As a team we were very disappointed last year. Our main goal is to get back to the Championship game and win it all.
Vickie (Dearborn Heights): Hey I was wondering how did you feel when you got picked to play in the WNBA?
Chandi Jones: It was one of the best moments that I can recall in my life when dealing with sports.
Amare (detroit): Who is the toughest person for you to guard in the Wnba?
Chandi Jones: Deanna Nolan - I go up against her in practice every day.
Amare (Detroit): Who are your favorite current NBA players?
Chandi Jones: Denver's Carmello Anthony and Phoenix's Amare Stoudamire.
(Detroit): Who do you see being tough competition for the Shock this season?
Chandi Jones: Right now I think that it's the Connecticute Sun. They are playing so well right now.
Imani (Detroit): Hey Chandi. I was just wondering is there any specific reason you switched from number 2 to 13?
Chandi Jones: 13 is my original number that I played with back in college. Last year someone else had it, so I couldn't wear it at the time.
Samaria (Ferndale): Before a game, my friends and I saw you dancing. Who is the best and worse dancer on the team?
Chandi Jones: Pretty much everybody on our team can dance. I can't think of a "bad dancer."
Jerome (Houston): Hey Chandi. I'm a long-time fan of yours. I used to watch you when you played for the Cougars. I'm glad you're playing more minutes and getting more comfortable shooting the ball. With this being your 2nd year in the league, do you feel you have to prove yourself more as a more dominant player, with the talent increasing with each new rookie? Also, are you excited to play against former teammate Sancho Lyttle of the Houston Comets?
Chandi Jones: I definitely feel like I have to come back and show more improvement and maturity than I had my Rookie year.
Chandi Jones: Thanks for joining me today for the online chat. I appreciate all of your support.
