With less than nine weeks remaining before the Shock’s home opener vs. Minnesota on Wednesday, May 24, the team will unveil a season’s worth of HERstory one week and one day at a time.

Today’s serving of Shock HERstory is a recap of Detroit’s inaugural season in which they finished the year 17-13, narrowly missing out on a postseason berth.

In addition to the five-day-a-week schedule of Shock HERstorical information being rolled out, the next two months will also feature chats and Q&A sessions with former players and organizational figures and a host of other miscellaneous tidbits of Shock trivia.
