Members of the Detroit Shock organization are out in the community doing special things for the less fortunate during the holidays.
Head Coach and Ex-Pistons star Bill Laimbeer and Shock forward Barbara Farris will sign autographs at ExclusiveMagazine.com’s 3rd Annual Charity Event benefiting The Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Gleaners Community Food Banks, and the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan. The event will help raise money, food and toys/books for the less fortunate.
The event will be Monday, December 20th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillside Furniture in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. (East side of Telegraph/North of Square Lake). It is open to the public, but in order to get in, each person must bring ALL the following items:
minimum five (5) canned goods and
minimum one (1) children’s toy/book.
There will also be a Silent Auction on the night where people can place bids on several signed pieces of entertainment memorabilia! Bid Sheets will be in place, each with a required minimum opening bid. (Note: Successful bidders are required to make payment in full prior to retrieving their winning item).
Both locations of the Palace Locker Room Store (Southfield, inside the Star Theatre complex and Auburn Hills, inside Great Lakes Crossing Mall) will have authentic #40 Bill Laimbeer jerseys and caps during the first week of December.
This event is expected to draw a large crowd, so patrons should plan their arrival time accordingly. Live music from the young rising star, Crystal Lynn will be played while people wait to get in. The first 300 people in line that day also get a free gift.
