Shannon Johnson’s EuroCup season came to an untimely end on Wednesday, February 6 as Chevakata won Game 2 of the series 69-62 to win the overall scoring differential in the series with Umana Venezia, 136-134. Johnson’s season-high 32 points weren’t enough to stave off a fourth quarter comeback that saw Chevakata erase a 12-point aggregate deficit at the start of the final period. Johnson connected on nine of 15 shots from the field and 12 of 13 from the free throw line and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss. In nine EuroCup games this season, Johnson averaged 19.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game while connecting on 53.1 percent of her two-point field goal attempts and 45.7 percent of her three-pointers.
