On the game:“I thought it was a good test of wills out there for an extended period in that game. When you have a test of wills like that, both teams are going to miss shots. I thought both teams played solid defense. The key to that game is that we didn’t turn the ball over in the second half and we got all the loose balls, which shows that we finally got focused.”

On the difference between the first and second halves:“The first half we were turning it over, giving them second shots. We minimized that, we were sharper in the second half. We didn’t turn it over at all, we got all the loose balls. They only had a total of 15 rebounds as a team, so you can’t ask for better.”

Fever Head Coach Brian Winters
On the second half:“We had too many turnovers, we gave up basically to many offensive rebounds through out the whole game. They got ten more shots at the goal and made six more field goals, we shot poorly, and we shot 37 percent your not going to win a lot of games like that.”
On knowing your position for playoffs:
“Whenever you play in these types of games it’s difficult in a sense that you know what your position is, the other team is still fighting for theirs but that isn’t an excuse.”

Fever Forward Tamika Catchings
On Detroit being more physical:“I think we came out and we were ready to play, tonight we may have been a little mentally and physically fatigue but that is not an excuse because Detroit came out like they were on a mission and they showed that in every possession.”
