Detroit Shock All-Star center Kara Braxton was selected as a finalist for the 2007 Harry Glickman Professional Athlete of the Year Award as part of the 2007 Oregon Sports Awards Show scheduled for Sunday, January 27 at the Tiger Woods Center on the Nike World Campus in Beaverton, OR.

The Oregon Sports Awards annually honors the state’s top athletes, coaches and teams. A statewide media panel voted on the various awards. Emmy award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad will be the master of ceremonies, and numerous sports celebrities will present the various awards.

The 2007 Oregon Sports Awards are presented by Nike, the Portland Tribune, Comcast SportsNet and State Champion Sponsors Les Schwab Tire Centers, Jeld-Wen and the Portland Trail Blazers.
