Tulsa Sports Commission
The Tulsa Sports Commission has launched an initiative to empower women and girls through sports and fitness in the Tulsa area. Athletic Women Excel, or AWE Tulsa, will focus on retaining, recruiting, developing and enhancing local women’s athletic events, programs and organizations for their economic and personal health benefits.

Shock forward Jennifer Lacy was inducted into the Pepperdine University Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 19. Lacy played four seasons at Pepperdine and appeared in 102 games, totaling 933 points (9.1ppg) and 504 rebounds (4.9rpg). During her senior year, Lacy led the WCC in scoring (16.9ppg) and led her team in rebounds (8.1rpg).
