Auburn Hills – Astou Ndiaye-Diatta just missed a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds as the Shock won its second game in a row 80-65 over the Washington Mystics. With the game tied at 25 with 5:46 to go in the first, Detroit went on a 13-4 run to help propel them to a nine-point lead at the half, and Washington was never able to pull closer than eight the rest of the way.

The Shock connected on 52.7 percent of its field goal attempts, out-rebounded Washington 34-17 and outscored the Mystics 18-6 from the free throw line. Chamique Holdsclaw, Nikki McCray and Tonya Washington each scored 11 points to lead Washington.
