Seattle fought back, taking the lead on a Jamie Redd three-pointer with 11:01 to go in the second. An 8-0 Shock run gave Detroit a six-point lead with 5:55 to go. The Storm cut the lead to one on two more occasions, but fell by five.
Three-pointers kept Seattle in the game for much of the night as they nailed 10 of 16 from long range. Inside the arc, however, the Storm made just nine of 38 shots from two-point range. Seattle was led by 17-points off the bench from Redd.
