The Detroit Shock broke open a close game with an 11-2 run late in the first half and put the game out of reach with a 12-0 run early in the second. Korie Hlede led six Shock players in double figures with 17 points off the bench.
Sue Wicks grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds for the Liberty, but she was also responsible for seven of New York’s 21 turnovers which the Shock turned into 27 points on the night. Detroit also enjoyed a 25-7 scoring advantage at the free throw line.
