Detroit Shock 63, New York Liberty 70
Auburn Hills - For the third time in four games, Detroit let a halftime lead slip away, falling to the New York Liberty, 70-63. The Shock controlled the game for much of the first period, opening up its largest lead with 2:47 to go before the break at 30-16. Heading into the locker room, Detroit still held a 10-point advantage, but a 29-11 Liberty run midway through the second saw the Shock trailing by nine with 6:45 remaining. Detroit never got closer than three the rest of the way. Swin Cash led the Shock with 14 points and Wendy Palmer pulled down the 1,000th rebound of her WNBA career. New York’s Crystal Robinson led all scorers with 19 points.
