Auburn Hills - It took an overtime period, but the Miami Sol shook off the Shock sending Detroit to its 13th straight loss to begin the year. The Shock led by four at the half, 35-31, but the Sol opened the second half with a 16-6 run to take a six-point lead with 14:10 to go. The Shock tied the game at 49 and 63 but needed a pair of Swin Cash free throws down the stretch to send the game into overtime. Deanna Nolan and Sheri Sam traded triples to start the extra session, but Detroit failed to score the rest of the way in the four-point loss. Cash led the Shock with 17 points while Sheru Sam posted a game-high 27.
