Auburn Hills – Ruth Riley nailed two free throws with 0.1 seconds left on the clock to give the Sol a one-point win over the Shock. The winning points came just 4.2 seconds after Dominique Canty hit two free throws of her own to five Detroit a one-point lead. Neither team led by more than eight points on the night, and there were 13 ties and 17 lead changes.

Astou Ndiaye-Diatta led all scorers with 19 points while Sandy Brondello’s 14 points and Riley’s 12-point, 10-rebound double-double paced the Sol.
