Indiana pushed its lead back out to eight with just over four minutes gone in the second, but Detroit countered with a 23-8 run to take a seven point lead with 6:01 to play. A Carla Boyd free throw gave the Shock an eight-point lead with 5:15 to go, but Indiana scored 19 of the next 26 points to pull out the win.
Claudia Maria das Neves scored 16 points and nailed four of five three pointers to lead the Shock, while Olympia Scott-Richardson’s 15 points paced the Fever.
