Auburn Hills – Five members of the Fever scored in double figures to lead Indiana past Detroit for the second time in as many days. It looked as if the Fever would run away with an easy win, much as they had done the previous night, as they jumped out to a 15-2 lead with 6:27 gone in the first. However the Shock closed to within two at the break.

Indiana pushed its lead back out to eight with just over four minutes gone in the second, but Detroit countered with a 23-8 run to take a seven point lead with 6:01 to play. A Carla Boyd free throw gave the Shock an eight-point lead with 5:15 to go, but Indiana scored 19 of the next 26 points to pull out the win.

Claudia Maria das Neves scored 16 points and nailed four of five three pointers to lead the Shock, while Olympia Scott-Richardson’s 15 points paced the Fever.
