The Fever tied the game up at 47-47 with 1:32 gone in the second, before the Shock embarked on a 31-2 run over the next 11-plus minutes. During that time, the Fever missed eight of nine shots, two free throws and committed 13 turnovers. The Shock, on the other hand, made seven of nine shots and hit 15 of 18 free throws.
The Shock connected on 19 of 27 (70.4%) shots from the field after the break, and all 11 players on the roster scored in the period. Detroit also outscored Indiana 27-9 from the free throw line in the period. Wendy Palmer’s 22 points led six Shock players in double-figure scoring. Gordana Grubin scored 19 points to lead the Fever.
