Detroit Shock 78, Washington Mystics 68

Sandy Brondello’s 18 points helped the Shock to its second straight win as Detroit topped Washington for the fifth time in seven career meetings. The Mystics used an 8-0 run in the middle of the first period to stake themselves to a 10-point lead with 4:48 left until halftime, but could muster up just two more points over that span taking a five-point lead into the locker room.

Detroit scored the first eight points after the break and 31 of the first 45 to push their lead to double-digits and effectively end the game. Murriel Page posted an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double and added a career-high four blocked shots for Washington.
