Detroit Shock 94, Utah Starzz 104

Sandy Brondello drained two last-second threes to send the game into the first and second overtimes, but Detroit shot a woeful 0-for-13 from the field in overtime number two as Utah came away with the 10-point win. Adrienne Goodson gave the Starzz a three-point lead with 3.7 seconds to go in regulation after making one of two free throws, but Brondello drilled a buzzer-beating three to close out regulation.

In the initial extra stanza, Utah built up a seven-point lead with 1:40 remaining, but the Shock scored nine of the final 11 points including a Brondello three-ball with 3.1 seconds left on the clock to push the game into the second OT. Brondello’s 33 points on the night set a Shock single-game record as did her six three-pointers. Natalie Williams countered with a career-high 31 points for Utah.
