Portland - The frustration for the Shock continued to mount as the Portland Fire sent them to their ninth consecutive loss of the season. A 16-9 Portland run in the first half gave the Fire an 11-point lead, and they took a 10-point cushion into the break. The Shock whittled away at Portland’s lead throughout the second half trailing by just three, 58-55, with 1:25 remaining, but the Fire scored nine of the final 14 points of the game for the win. Wendy Palmer led the Shock in scoring with 14 points while Swin Cash grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds. Alisa Burras led Portland with 14 points on the night.
