New York– The Shock have increased their win streak to eight-games. In a physical match that saw 21 personal fouls on each side with one person fouling out (Tari Phillips of the NY Liberty), one person obtaining a technical foul (Cheryl Ford of the Detroit Shock) and one person obtaining a flagrant foul (Tamika Whitmore of the NY Liberty) the Shock once again pulled it out with strong point performances by Deanna Nolan (20 pts.), Swin Cash (17 pts.), and Ford (12 pts). The Liberty had two players post double-doubles, Phillips (18 pts, 11 rebs.) and Baranova (20 pts., 10 rebs.), yet couldn’t get the job done despite outscoring the Shock 8 to 2 on second chance points.
