Minneapolis – Kristin Folkl’s 19-point, 12-rebound performance dropped Detroit’s record to 1-1 on the season. The Lynx never trailed in the game opening up a 10-point lead in the first seven minutes of the game. The Lynx pushed their lead to 12 at the break and to 20 with 9:44 to go in the game.

Minnesota connected on 48.4 percent of its shots from the field including 6-of-12 from three-point range, while limiting the Shock to just 36.7 percent shooting on the night. Katie Smith and Grace Daley each added 17 points for the Lynx while Wendy Palmer’s 15 points paced Detroit.
