Los Angeles – The Sparks jumped out to a 12-2 lead with just over three minutes gone in the first half and never trailed the rest of the way, dropping the Shock back below the .500 mark. Mwadi Mabika helped spearhead the Los Angeles’ effort in the first half scoring 16 points and draining three of four three pointers.

Lisa Leslie recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Mabika finished with a game-high 21 points for LA. Wendy Palmer was the only Shock player to reach double figures in scoring with 12 points. As a team, the Shock were held to 36.1 percent shooting from the field including one of nine from three-point range.
