Detroit Shock 56, Indiana Fever 77

Indianapolis – Rita Williams scored 16 points to lead the Fever and send the Shock to its second straight loss without the services of Wendy Palmer. Detroit held a four-point lead, 19-15, with 7:47 to go in the first, but Indiana scored 22 of the final 24 points of the half to take a 16-point halftime lead. It didn’t take long for Indiana to add to that lead as they opened the second period with an 11-0 run. Detroit never got closer than 18 points the rest of the way.

Dominique Canty was the lone Shock player to score in double figures with 10 points. Gordana Grubin (15 points) and Olympia Scott-Richardson (14) joined Williams in double-figures. The Fever outscored the Shock 22-8 from the free throw line and turned 20 Detroit turnovers into 28 points.
