Detroit Shock 40, Houston Comets 61
Houston - It was another record setting night to forget for Detroit as they set team records for fewest points scored in a game (40) and a half (8 in the first) in a 61-40 loss to the Houston Comets. Despite shooting just 13 percent from the field in the first half (3-of-23), Detroit trailed by just 10, 18-8, at the break. However, Houston maintained a double-digit lead for much of the second period, cruising to the win. Tina Thompson’s 19 points and nine rebounds paced the Comets while Astou Ndiaye-Diatta led the Shock with 12 points.
