Cleveland - The Cleveland Rockers sent Detroit to its fifth straight loss to open the season, and its third loss by double figures. The Rockers used a 10-2 to run to close the first half and take a nine-point lead into the locker room. Cleveland picked up where they left off to open the second stanza by scoring 19 of the first 21 points after the break and never looking back. Chasity Melvin scored a game-high 19 points while Penny Taylor added 16 points and nine boards. Wendy Palmer led Detroit in scoring for the second time with 15 points and Swin Cash added 12.
