Cleveland – Despite allowing the Rockers to make 61.1 percent of their field goal attempts on the night, the Shock were able to hand Cleveland its second loss of the season. Chasity Melvin nailed all six of her first-half field goal attempts and scored 15 points as the Rockers built an early 12-point lead over the first 11:13 of the game. The Shock scored the next 12 points to tie the game, and led by three at the break.

There were seven ties throughout the second half, the final of which came with 9:09 to play at 70-70. The Shock scored eight of the next nine points to put the game out of reach. Melvin scored a game-high 28 points for the Rockers while Dominique Canty’s 22 points led five Shock players in double-figures.
