Charlotte – Barbara Farris nailed two free throws with 0.3 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime and Edwina Brown nailed a three with one second left to send the game into a second overtime and another with 6.3 seconds remaining in the second OT to give the Shock its third win in as many games.

Dominique Canty scored nine of her 20 points in the two overtime periods to help set up Brown’s heroics. Detroit pulled out the win despite allowing the Sting to connect on 46.2 percent of their field goal attempts and being outscored 19-9 from the free throw line. They did so by nailing seven of 17 three-pointers and turning 22 Charlotte turnovers into 26 points.

Brown scored 19 points for the Shock including hitting four of five from long distance while Shalonda Enis led the Sting with 11 points.
