Detroit Shock 53, Cleveland Rockers 55

Despite overcoming a 14-point first-half deficit, the Detroit Shock couldn’t avoid their fourth straight loss as the Cleveland Rockers held on for a two-point win. Detroit led by three points early in the first, but the Rockers scored 24 of the next 31 points to build their largest lead of the night.

From the mid-point of the second period, neither team led by more than four points and a 7-0 Rockers run late in the half proved to be the winning points. No Shock players were able to score in double-figures while Alisa Burras and Chasity Melvin led Cleveland with 10 points each. The Shock missed 17 of 31 free throws on the night and committed 19 turnovers.
