Games To Watch For: Eastern Conference

The Shock finished with a record of 2-9 against Eastern Conference teams in 2011, scoring wins against the Washington Mystics and Connecticut Sun. They Mystics and Sun are likely to see their young cores improve while the veteran laden New York Liberty and two-time defending Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream will attempt to make another run at the Finals. 2011 Record: 0-2

The two-time defending Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream will look to reach the finals for the third straight year in 2012. Angel McCoughtry and Lindsey Harding will make their one and only stop in Tulsa on Friday June 29, 2012 at 7 p.m.

2011 Record: 0-2

Second year player Courtney Vandersloot and 2011 Defensive Player of the Year Sylvia Fowles will be joined by veteran Swin Cash for the 2012 season after the blockbuster trade with Seattle. Cash will look to lead a young core of Fowles, Vandersloot and Epiphanny Prince into the playoffs after a stop in Tulsa on Friday August 24, 2012 at 7 p.m.

After two dominant seasons in the WNBA, Tina Charles looks to add an MVP Trophy to her already stacked resume. Charles will look to avenge a late season loss to the Shock at the BOK Center in Tulsa on Friday July 6, 2012 at 7 p.m.

2011 Record: 0-2

Indiana Fever forward Tamika Catchings won the MVP award last year while also headlining the All-Defensive team. Catchings has the unique ability to play both on the perimeter and inside. Catchings will lead a veteran Fever squad looking to once again make a return to the WNBA Finals in 2012 after they narrowly missed winning it all in 2009. The Fever will visit their old Assistant Coach Gary Kloppenburg at the BOK Center on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 7 p.m.

2011 Record: 0-2 Center Kia Vaughn narrowly beat out the Shocks Tiffany Jackson for the Most Improved Player Award in 2011. Another leap from Vaughn combined with the veteran presence of Cappie Pondexter, Kara Braxton and Plenette Pierson once again make the Liberty serious contenders in the Eastern Conference this season. The Liberty will visit the Shock at the BOK Center on Thursday September 20, 2012 at 7 p.m.
