Shock, Allstate Read To Achieve
The WNBA Champion Detroit Shock team, including Head Coach Bill Laimbeer and All-Stars Swin Cash and Deanna Nolan, will join Shockwave, Zap, the L’Anse Creuse North High School Varsity Girls Basketball team and All-Star Reading Team members on Friday, June 4th as a part of their 2004 Read To Achieve literacy tip-off at Green Elementary.

WNBA Read to Achieve is a year-round, league-wide initiative that promotes the value of reading and online literacy and encourages adults to read regularly with young children. The Detroit Shock are committed to developing a life-long love of reading among children. Supported by Reading is Fundamental and Scholastic Inc., the Detroit Shock Read to Achieve initiative promotes reading efforts through school and community appearances throughout the year.
