The Detroit Shock teamed up with the American Heart association for the Go Red for Women campaign that celebrates women coming together to wipe out heart disease. The 2009 Go Red for Women night was Sunday, June 28.

The WNBA Breast Health Awareness program focuses on generating awareness and educating women about breast cancer in addition to raising funds for the initiative. The Shock Breast Health Awareness night is Sat. August 29 at 3 p.m.
