“Breast Cancer is a serious disease that in one way or another affects everyone,” said Daryle Johnson, Associate Vice President of Advertising/Communications for Health Alliance Plan. “HAP has always supported the Shock and WNBA in raising awareness for this cause and wanted to do so in a different way this year. The Shock Breast Health Awareness Flip-Flops are a one-of-a-kind item that fans can enjoy during the wonderful Michigan summers.”
Detroit Shock Breast Health Awareness Night is Sunday, July 16 vs. San Antonio. The WNBA Breast Health Awareness program focuses on increasing awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer during in-arena nights devoted to promoting Breast Health Awareness. The goal of these nights is to heighten local awareness of the BHA initiative and encourage fan involvement.
