Catching Up With Shanna Crossley

In her fourth season in the WNBA and first for the Tulsa Shock, guard Shanna Crossley started a career-high 16 games, averaging 9.7 points/game on 42.2 percent from three. Crossley was third on the team in scoring and played in 30 of the team's 34 games after missing a large part of the 2009 season with a knee injury.

On her way to play ball in Turkey during the off-season, Crossley was kind enough to answer a few questions about her experiences in Tulsa and her expecations for upcoming season.

Tulsa Shock: After having some time to reflect on the season, what was your best memory of this past season?

Shanna Crossley: winning our last game and the iPad's!!!!!!

TS: In what areas do you feel the Shock need to get better this off-season?

SC: i think some personnel changes, but it's a new franchise and i think we have a lot of great things to build off of

TS: What aspects of your game are you hoping to improve this off-season and moving into next year? What steps are you taking to make those improvements?

SC: decision making with the ball in my hands and being able to do more off the dribble when people are flying at me...gonna take that into consideration while im over here in turkey

TS: What have you been up to since the season ended?

SC: did some "EXTRAVAGANT" adventures out in seattle and spent time with the family

TS: What are your plans for the remainder of the off-season?

SC: enjoy my time in turkey and hopefully more with my family and friends when i return from playing over seas

TS:(If playing overseas) What is the biggest difference between playing basketball overseas as opposed to state side?

SC: 6. right now it's the fact that i have a car to drive around with and be free back in the states!!! on the court though, we ran a lot in tulsa, but holy cow it's like track practice so far over here! the WNBA is more physical

TS: (If playing overseas) Whats the hardest part of not living in the states?

SC: 7. seeing family and friends whenever you want or picking up the phone at any time of the day because you're not 7,8,9 hrs time difference

TS: (if NBA fan) What is your NBA Championship and Finals prediction for the 2010-11 season?

SC: 8. wow!!! already making predictions and it hasn't even started yet!?!?!?!!?!?! who knows, i will say this...the heat will not do as well as everyone thinks. mark my words, put it in stone, that's right, i said it...i don't know. someone has to show they can beat the lakers..please!?!?!?!?!?!?
