Draft Dreams: Amber Harris - Xavier
INTANGIBLES:
Height: 6-5
Position: Forward
STATS:
2010-11: 18.7 points/10.2 rebounds/52.5% FG/32.3 mins/game
HOW SHE FITS
After breaking down the Shock's 2010 season, it can be argued that an athletic low-post scorer who rebounded profusely on both ends of the court and trap in Coach Richardson's system was exactly what the Shock needed. Senior Amber Harris could be that missing piece.
Despite being upset by Lousville in the second round of the tournament in what was earlier project as a Final Four year for Xavier, Harris led the team with 2.2 blocks/game and amassed 36 points, 19 rebounds, six blocks on 15-of-21 shooting from the floor in two tournament games.
Her ability to score with ease and at an extremely efficient rate would be an asset for any team in the WNBA and definitely fill a need in the paint for the Shock.
