This year marks Mercury forward Penny Taylor’s first playoff appearance since 2003, when she was a part of the Cleveland Rockers franchise. It is also the first postseason appearance for the Mercury since 2000. After missing the first 14 games of the 2006 season, Taylor has been with the Mercury from Day One this year and posted the best numbers of her career. Her offensive strength became apparent when teammates Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter were both out, yet not comprises one of the most lethal offensive trios in the history of the league. Now Taylor hopes to use her hot hand to bring the championship home to Phoenix.
