New to the New York roster, center Janel McCarville was acquired by the Liberty in the Charlotte Dispersal Draft this past offseason and was one of the last to arrive during the preseason. Better late than never as McCarville’s role on the team has quickly evolved from reserve to starter to budding star. With three double-doubles on the season, McCarville’s presence on the inside and deft scoring touch from the field have turned the Liberty into a formidable foe. And McCarville’s size, strength and scoring ability will give opponents pause through the Liberty’s run in the postseason.
